For the sixth time, the Cologne Christmas Circus opens its striking palace tent to visitors. The performance in the well-heated circus tent lasts about 2.5 hours (including a 25-minute break) and offers great entertainment for the whole family! Until January 2nd, 2022, the Cologne Christmas Circus offers sensational artistry, comedy, unbelievable illusions and breathtaking action! 40 award-winning artists offer a top-class programme. The very varied mixture creates the wonderful charm and the very special atmosphere of the event.

In 2016 he wowed the audience and the jury there by circling hula hoops of different sizes around his arms, legs and hips. For this he was awarded gold at the International Circus Festival in Monte-Carlo and performed at the Europa Park Teatro in Rust, among others. Now the muscular artist is also brilliant in Cologne.
Of course, a classic circus also includes clowns. The Russian coupleOlesya and Alexei Bebylevwas already one of the absolute audience favorites in 2018. WhenDuo Bebleylevthe world-famous clowns play their way into the hearts of the audience between the artistic performances. All-rounder Alexei can not only play ping-pong against himself, he has also mastered the art of throwing a plunger. The comedian, magician and entertainerLeonid Belyakovfrom Gosen near Berlin stands for animal pleasure with his dogs. Some might already know him from television, because he was seen with his dog Leika in the current season of “Supertalent”. In the Cologne Christmas Circus he is in the ring with several dogs and provides plenty of "oooh - how cute" moments. In his charming and funny performances, the dog is in the foreground and I'm not quite sure who actually trained whom here. Leonid and his dogs are definitely among the crowd favorites in 2021!

The exceptional artist and Golden Clown winnerOleg Izossimovfrom Russia merges classic elements of the Bolshoi ballet with demanding equilibristics in his unequaled performance. In 1996 he won the coveted "Silver Clown" at the Monte Carlo Festival and has already delighted audiences in Las Vegas, Copenhagen's Tivoli and the Moscow State Circus. As a director, he has staged shows such as "Balloon" and "Voom!" at the Apollo Varieté in Düsseldorf.

They are among the world's best handstand acrobats, have won top prizes at all renowned circus festivals and are also at home on the renowned variety stages in Germany, including the Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin, the Tiger Palace Varieté Frankfurt, the Apollo Varieté Düsseldorf or the Fantissima Cologne . The muscular Pellegrini brothers received a special honor with an invitation to the Vatican, where they performed before Pope Benedict XVI. 40 artists offer a top class program. For example, the world-famous clown duo Bobylev. The Russian couple Olesya and Alexei Bebylev were already the absolute darlings of the audience at the guest performance in 2018. And this year, too, there will certainly be a lot to laugh about when the two perform.
The Russian comedian, magician and entertainer Leonid Beljakov and his dogs stand for animal entertainment. The team convinces with funny tricks and stunning comedy and touches the audience with a soulful togetherness. Of course, the idea of animal protection is not neglected: "We select the artists and their animals with great care in order to be able to guarantee that all animals are doing well at all times and that animal welfare is ensured - both on trips and before , during and after the show,” explains producer Ilja Smitt. And adds: "We regard animals as fellow artists and treat them with respect and love."
The Golden Clown winner Oleg Izossimov, on the other hand, convinces with a fascinating hand balancing act. The winner of numerous circus festivals enchants the audience in the Cologne Christmas Circus with a mixture of Bolshoi ballet and handstand, all accompanied by classical music.
Another award-winning artist is Anton Monastyrsky from Russia. He proves to be a true master in handling numerous rings and hula hoops of different sizes. For this he was already awarded gold at the International Circus Festival in Monte Carlo.
The Ukrainian Andrey Vovk also works with round objects. Instead of rings and hula hoops, however, he prefers car tires. This whirls the muscular power pack naturally with power and elegance through the air.
The Ukrainian trio Russian Bar on Balls presents spectacular artistry. The artists twirl through the air in daring somersaults and come to a standstill on a narrow, flexible pole. They are the only artists in the world to perform the demanding Russian parallel bars on huge balls. In addition to appearances at international circus festivals, Yevgen Lytvyn, Igor Tomchuk and Oleksii Savitskyi have also appeared on television several times, including in "Das Supertalent".
Other highlights of2.5 hour program in total(including a 25-minute break) in the Cologne Christmas Circus include the Pellegrini Brothers from Italy. The four brothers Andrea, Erdeo, Natale and Ivan are among the world leaders in handstand acrobatics. In addition, aerial silk acrobat Olga Moreva thrilled the audience with her presentation. The performance of the tempo juggler Rafael Gil, who whirls his spheres, balls and clubs through the air at breathtaking speed, demands full concentration. In addition, the show group Angels Inc. brings magical moments into the ring. The five Dutch women amaze the audience with impressive illusions.
Also back is the Minsk Show Ballet. The graceful dancers have accompanied the Cologne Christmas Circus from the very beginning. And this time, too, they take the audience on a fantastic journey with their fairytale costumes and impressive choreographies.
